Electronics

Like building and making things? Got a microbit or raspberry Pi you don’t know what to do with? Enjoyed MadLabs and want to do more soldering? Got and idea and want to design your own electronic device? Then we have projects or you can bring your own project, and we shall do our best to help you.

Before the pandemic, our members built and programmed Marty robots and built air quality monitors for deployment locally. One member built a Gold Crest Award winning infra-red device capable of doing 3D imaging and used his understanding of python to code it.

So we are really looking forward to this restarting in a hall, as it was the area most hit by going on-line.

We have equipment aimed at helping you understand the basics of electrical circuits and how to design them, to support your skills development in this area.

Our lead volunteers in this area are Iain Morrison and Richard Burn.
