Organised by the award winning youth club, Everything Electronics, you can be sure that this will have plenty of fun and interest for adults and youngsters alike. Supported by members of the Tarland Climate Crisis Group, the Tarland Wetland Group and Knockiehill Woodland Centre, you can visit a range of homes and sites and ask questions about : green technologies and how they can help you reduce your bills; growing your own at home; and helping native wildlife.
For adults, this is your opportunity to ask questions of those who have green technologies. They will give you their honest view on the pros and cons and show you how they work.
For youngsters, there are specific activities at Reekitlane and Knockiehill and they can enter the “What can we do competition?” as they go around the sites solving clues on the Ecohunt.
Bring a picnic and either cycle around the beautiful Howe of Cromar or go by car. If you are intending to cycle, choose a Reekitlane start booking, as you can leave your car there while you cycle around the route.
TO MINIMISE PARKING PROBLEMS, YOU BOOK PER CAR AND START AT A PARTICULAR VENUE. CYCLISTS ARRIVING BY CAR, BOOK A REEKITLANE START AS YOU CAN LEAVE YOUR CAR THERE FOR THE DAY.
