The Homer Science Club

Wandering the Seas of Science

The Homer Science Club is a Science Club for home educated youngsters in our local area. Why Homer? – we like Odysseus and Penelope his wife, both smart, both thinkers and problem solvers just like good scientists always are.
It wasn’t the muscle man Achilles who won the war for the Greeks, it was the brillant piece of wood engineering provided by Odysseus – The Wooden Horse.
And Penelope? – well she held her husband’s Kingdom together for the full 20 years of his absence, out-thinking over 100 suitors wanting to marry her so they could take it over.

The Homer Club operates from Tornaveen Hall every Monday from 2 pm until 4 pm. Places are restricted, so contact us to check the current situation if you wish to join. (
